About Me
I once thought a source of satisfaction for me would be to work in Corporate America so when I was presented with the opportunity, I jumped in wholeheartedly. For 10+ years, I worked in that arena, assessing employee skills, strengths, and matching people with career-related jobs. I eventually found that my joy came, not from where I was employed, but rather, from encouraging others to identify their gifts, develop and articulate their skills, and find the source of their own joy.
As a licensed mental health counselor, my work has been with multiple populations in behavioral health as well as private practice.
I realized that satisfaction, joy, and success are intricately connected with identifying one’s passion, testing out the questions “What makes me eager to jump out of bed in the morning? What would I be doing, even if I didn’t get paid for doing it?”
Sometimes we are not clear about the answers to the questions above; sometimes we don’t want to acknowledge what we really know to be true about ourselves and our talents, feeling like an imposter when we attain an achievement. Sometimes, we even believe the negativity someone else has said about who we are.
My passion is to assist others in identifying their authentic (read “real”) selves and shake off the limiting “baggage” of past hurts, past mistakes, and debilitating doubts.
I emphasize a supportive cognitive-behaviorally-themed approach to help you identify and begin the journey to living your best life.
